THE DEFINITIONS PROJECT

The Definitions Project a 15-year qualitative and quantitative research project to define religiousness, spirituality, faith, and the sacred and develop and validate a Multilevel Interdisciplinary Paradigm for the psychology of religion and spirituality.

THE MEASURES PROJECT

The Measures Project focuses on developing and reviewing valid and reliable measures of religiousness and spirituality.

THE CLIENT EXPECTATIONS PROJECT

The Client Expectations Project is a study of qualitative interviews of counseling clients and their expectations and preferences for discussing spirituality and religion in counseling.

THE CLINICAL JUDGMENT PROJECT

The Clinical Judgment Project conducts research on the professional judgments clinicians make of religious/spiritual clients.

THE BODY IMAGE PROJECT

The Body Image Project is investigating the relationships among religion/spirituality and eating disorders/body image.

THE PAGAN PROJECT

The Pagan Project is working on disseminating qualitative research with Pagan college students on how to treat Pagans in counseling.

THE MUSIC PROJECT

The Music Project is a series of research studies investigating the impact of music genre, tonality, tempo, and preference on heart coherence, mood, personality, intelligence, and other psychological variables.

THE TRUE NAMES INITIATIVE

The True Names Initiative is using theatre techniques to create therapeutic interventions and foster social change.

PROJECT SAAFE

Project SAAFE (Sexual Assault Awareness For Everyone) is a group that conducts program evaluations for campus and community sexual assault awareness and prevention programs, combining research and intervention.

THE INTEGRATIVE MODEL OF PSYCHOLOGY

The Integrative Model of Psychology is a meta-theoretical model that integrates dozens of psychological theories of wellness, personality, emotion, cognition, and lifespan development.

OTHER PROJECTS

The ARA also works on other projects periodically, such as a journal article on a middle school counseling program and a journal article on teaching multiculturalism to college students.
